Who We Are...

We want to be known as a church which glorifies God unreservedly and loves people unconditionally.

Our History

In August 1992 we celebrated our 75th Anniversary. For 30 years we were located at 7th and Pasqua. We've been enjoying our present address, 11th & Rothwell, since August 1993.

Our Organization

Our staff includes a Senior Minister, an Associate (Youth) Minister, and an Administrative Assistant. Our shepherds provide caring, spiritual leadership. Ministry teams maintain day to day church programs such as education, visitation, benevolence, music, etc. We are an independent group of Christians with sister congregations in every major city in North America.

Our Basic Beliefs

  1. God is one He is eternal. He established time with the creation of the world. He demonstrated his essential character--perfect love--in the sending of his Son to provide our redemption, and he will consummate this world order by righteous judgment at the end of time.

  2. The Bible, the Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, are his divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy communication to humankind. The Bible is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

  3. Humanity has been created by God to worship him, serve fellow humans and care for his creation. However, humankind is fallen and destined to eternal destruction without the divine, gracious intervention of the cross of Jesus Christ.

  4. Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was sinless in his life, was resurrected bodily and returned to his heavenly father to mediate on our behalf, and will, at the end of time return in power and glory.

  5. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer enabling a holy life of witnessing and working for the Lord Jesus Christ. The evidence of the Spirit is spiritual fruit: love joy, peace.

  6. Salvation of lost and sinful humanity is only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

  7. The Spirit unites all believers in the Church, Christ's spiritual body.

  8. At the end of time, Jesus will return. All who have ever lived will be resurrected, judged and designated to either eternal life or eternal destruction.

Our Core Values

Core values explain why we do what we do. Most values are positive and good but they may not always be the "best" nor be in appropriate balance. For example, I may value food, sleep, exercise and hygiene. Each of these is valuable and essential for health, but any one in excess can be devastating to healthiness. While values should enhance church-health, some may, in reality, be hindrances to church growth. In addition, it is important to realize the difficulty of identifying real values. Often, our "stated" values are no more than our aspirations. There may be a huge gulf between the "actual" and the "ideal."  The real values may not be up front but, just, like the operating system on your computer, they, are over-riding and controlling everything that happens! To operate assuming that stated values are in effect, when in reality they are only on paper, stifles the entire strategic process.

  1. Relevant Bible Teaching. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired, trustworthy rule of faith and practice for all Christians (2 Tim. 3:16). It is both timeless and timely, relevant to all people at all times. Therefore, we are committed to equipping disciples through the teaching of Scripture to follow Christ in all areas of life.

  2. Creativity and Relevance. In today's rapidly changing world, we believe that our ministry methods must be flexible, but not our biblical principles (1 Cor. 9:19-23). Therefore, while maintain our principles, we regularly evaluate and change our forms of ministry to remain relevant to our times (1 Chron. 12:32).

  3. Excellence. We believe that our God is a God of excellence who deserves the best we have to offer (1 Cor. 3:13). Therefore, in all our ministries and activities, we seek to maintain the highest standards of excellence to the glory of God.

  4. Team-ness. We believe that New Testament ministry is team ministry (Mark 6:7). Therefore, wherever and whenever possible, we conduct our staff and lay ministries in a team context.

  5. Lay Ministry. We believe that the primary responsibility of the pastoral staff is to equip our people for ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). Therefore, the pastoral staff spends much of its time in equipping our multi-gifted people to make disciples in their small group (team) ministries.

  6. Growth. Although numerical growth is not a sufficient goal in itself, we believe that God wants us to reach as many people as possible with the gospel (Matt. 28:19-20). Therefore, we pursue methods that facilitate numerical growth without compromising our integrity or commitment to biblical truth.

  7. Authentic Life Change. We believe that God wants all of his people to experience genuine, biblical life change which involves godliness and true holiness (1 Pet. 1:15-16). Therefore, we are committed to small group ministries as the best vehicle to make this happen.

Our Mission

What is church? Is it just another address? A building on the corner of the street where people come and go for worship? No, to us it more than that. We see ourselves in the business of helping a wide range of human needs.

                    We exist ...

... so that God is glorified.

Our Vision

Our vision is to honour our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ, by carrying out his commands:

Empowered by the Spirit, we believe that God has called us to radiate from "1825 Rothwell" to Regina and area, to the prairies and to overseas destinations (Acts 1:8), focusing on those who do not attend any church.

In order to accomplish this, our church will be an equipping center where every disciple can be developed to his/her potential for ministry. This development will come through:

As a result, our community will be different in ten to fifteen years, with the Christian influence being increasingly felt in homes, businesses, education, and politics. We further intend to multiply our worldwide ministry by planting churches, by preparing our people for leadership roles in vocational and professional ministries, by sending missionaries, and by becoming a resource center and model for Saskatchewan and our nation.
