Glen Elm Church of Christ

Seeking Christ. Sharing Christ.

Service Times: Sundays at 10:30am

The shepherds and staff have deliberated over the announcement of Saskatchewan's Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saquib Shahab on January 6, 2022. Dr. Shahab strongly recommends that people not gather outside their family units within indoor settings for the next two to four weeks as Omicron takes a hold of our province. You can read his announcement by following the link in the comments.
For now, we will plan to for streaming-only services on January 9 and January 16. Those live-streams will begin at 10:30 AM, with the recordings posted to YouTube afterward. Each service will be followed by a church-wide Zoom call for visiting and prayer. We look forward to seeing you there.
Bless you as you seek the Lord and serve His people.

Sunday Services

Our in-person services have been operating smoothly, with many expressing comfort and confidence in our current protocols. If you've not yet attended, here's what you can expect when you do:

  • Service begins at 10:30 AM. All ages are together for approximately 30 minutes (Worship and Communion), followed by 30 minutes of class time for children/youth.
  • Sanitization stations are at the main entrance. Let's have everyone use them.
  • Masks are on before we enter the building.
  • A host will greet you at the door, providing communion supplies.
  • Auditorium is entered from both sides. Directional flow markings are still on the floor, but not necessary at this time.
  • Rows are spaced wider than usual. There's lots of room to accommodate a variety of comfort levels. Be aware that we don't all have the same such levels.
  • Main Washrooms and Nursery are open.
  • Visiting afterward is a treat. We do as much of it outside as possible.
  • If any members of your household are feeling unwell, or have been close contacts to someone with Covid, tune in from home that week.

Assembling is a gift; many of us have been reminded of that recently!

Father, bless every gathering of your people, in every nation, in every setting.

Let us find encouragement in our brothers' and sisters' lives and in one another's expressions of trust and devotion.
