TRUST IN THE LORD: New Strength

Our 2018 Advent series is titled “Trust in the Lord”. While TRUST might not be a traditional Advent theme, we determined that the whole Christmas story is filled with trust:

*Mary replies to the angel, “Let it be to me as you have said.”
*Joseph agrees to marry Mary, altering the course of his life and reputation for good.
*Magi trek across unknown lands to follow a star and kneel to a king.
*Shepherds spread the word of a glorious message and manger-scene.
*Anna and Simeon interact with the young Messiah, after years of faithful waiting.

The CHRISTMAS story is filled with trust. Even more, the CHRISTIAN story is filled with trust. None of what God offers us in Jesus Christ is received, if not by trusting Him.
